Widow’s Peak, a thriller by Tony Schwartz & Marylou Ambrose, starring the playwrights
Marylou Ambrose is a writer, actor, and author of the cozy mystery novel, Your Number’s Up.
When Marylou Ambrose and Tony Schwartz founded The Lakeside Players in 1999, they had a little experience and a big dream. Flying by the seat of their pants, they rented a performance hall and assembled a troupe of like-minded people.
Fifty plays and hundreds of performances later, Lakeside’s actors are still making a spectacle of themselves in front of audiences. Tony and Marylou also formed a professional company, Tonylou Productions, which entertains bus groups 9 months a year at Silver Birches Resort in the Poconos.
In 2018, the pair was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Theatrical Alliance (NEPTA) in recognition of their efforts in promoting community theater in the region.
